Weld County approves $868,000 security bid
Weld County approved Precision Security Team’s $868,132.80 bid to provide security services at the courthouse, North Jail Complex and Department of Justice Services. Sheriff's Office staff said the county received nine proposals after advertising the request in September 2026; three staff members evaluated them against the RFP’s nine criteria, and the office recommended Precision, saying its proposal showed a comprehensive understanding of the sites’ security needs and offered the best overall value. Precision’s hourly rate was $36.10, compared with an average of $39.50. The firm initially bid on 10-hour shifts; the RFP was amended to a 9.5-hour shift with a half-hour unpaid lunch.
Motion carried.
