The NoCo Herald

Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 7, 2026

The NoCo Herald, published by Amalgamated Hams LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), respects your privacy. We collect as little information as possible and we do not sell your personal data. This policy explains what we collect and why.

What we collect

Aggregate analytics. We use a privacy-friendly analytics service to understand which articles are read and how visitors find us. This data is aggregated and is not used to build personal profiles of individual readers.

Server logs. Like most websites, our servers may automatically record standard technical information — such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested — to operate the site securely and diagnose problems. These logs are retained only as long as needed for those purposes.

We do not require accounts, and we do not knowingly collect names, email addresses, or other personal details unless you choose to send them to us (for example, by emailing us).

Cookies

We aim to keep the site as cookie-light as possible. Our analytics is configured to avoid non-essential tracking cookies and cross-site tracking.

Third parties

Our articles link to third-party websites (the primary sources we cite). Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we do not control. Aside from our analytics provider and standard hosting infrastructure, we do not share your information with third parties, and we do not sell it.

Your choices

You can block cookies and analytics using your browser settings or privacy tools. Doing so will not prevent you from reading the Herald.

Children's privacy

The Service is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
