Peakview plan targets instruction and engagement

From the Thompson School District Board of Education meeting of

The plan targets Academic Growth at Peakview Academy, which is in Year 4 of Turnaround and received a preliminary 2026 School Performance Framework score of 30.2, through stronger Tier I instruction, a consistent 7 Step Learning Cycle across Professional Learning Teams, and stronger systems for student reengagement and family partnership. For 2026–27, the plan calls for professional development, instructional sprint cycles, team collaboration, coaching, classroom walkthroughs and feedback, and district Continuous Improvement work, relying primarily on existing staffing, professional-learning time and structures, and school and district resources; listed funding sources include the General Fund, Title I and other allocated improvement resources as applicable. The plan lists August 2026 as its proposed start date, with checkpoints throughout the school year and formal benchmarks in December 2026 and May 2027. Monitoring will use walkthroughs, team artifacts, coaching and feedback data, local iReady measures for interim academic progress, and state assessment data for annual outcomes.

Adopted with the consent agenda (carried).
