Timnath

About $3.3 million authorized before recreation center GMP

From the Timnath Town Council meeting of

The adopted amendment increases the construction-services agreement from $75,000.00 to $3,360,275.00, authorizing up to $3,285,275 for limited procurement and construction-phase work before a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) amendment. The authorization covers insurance, bonds, a precast deposit and engineering, soil import, temporary site costs and surveying; the amendment does not set a GMP, and amounts properly paid or committed will be credited against the later GMP. Work requires the Town’s written Notice to Proceed and proof of applicable insurance, and the authorization cannot be exceeded without further written approval. The amendment lists Oct. 13, 2026, as the work commencement date and leaves contract time and the completion date unchanged.

Adopted with the consent agenda (carried).
