Up to $56,752.50 approved for water meters

From the Fort Lupton City Council meeting of

Fort Lupton approved an order for 250 Badger E-Series B-Alloy water meters at $227.01 each, for no more than $56,752.50 from the Utility Fund - Water Line Repairs. The city budgeted $100,000 for new meters and accessories, had spent $72,013.67 and received $72,564.64 in meter fees, which cover meters, endpoints and accessories for new water service. The staff report said the order would carry the city’s stock through 2026 and into 2027, and meter-fee revenue would offset the purchase cost; it also said the expense account would exceed its budget and require a supplemental resolution.

Adopted with the consent agenda (carried).
