Respiratory illness hospitalizations remain very low in Larimer County, with no new COVID-19 or flu hospital stays reported in the most recent week and only two new RSV hospitalizations. Overall, hospitals saw just two respiratory hospitalizations for the week ending January 25, suggesting a relatively quiet period for severe illness so far this winter.

RSV continues to be the main driver of recent hospitalizations, particularly affecting young children and older adults, even as weekly numbers stay low. Emergency department visits for flu-like illness, COVID-19, and RSV are all at low levels, with under 3% of ER visits tied to these respiratory illnesses. Seniors still account for most COVID-19 and flu hospitalizations this season, while children under 5 make up over half of RSV hospitalizations.
