The Movement Apothecary is collecting non-perishable food items and essential supplies through the end of November to benefit the Food Bank for Larimer County.

The wellness studio, located at 2721 S. College Avenue Unit 3 in Fort Collins, is accepting donations at its facility during business hours. Residents who arrive when the studio is locked can leave items under the bench outside, according to the business's announcement.

Priority items include canned proteins, soups, whole grains, nut butters, shelf-stable milk, and menstrual products.

The drive comes as Larimer County continues to address persistent food insecurity affecting approximately 32,000 to 40,000 residents, according to data from the Food Bank for Larimer County. The organization reports that 33% of those experiencing hunger in the county are children, while seniors comprise nearly 8% of the food-insecure population.

Recent community efforts have expanded following federal SNAP benefit reductions, with multiple Fort Collins businesses organizing donation campaigns. King Soopers locations are also conducting a round-up campaign through December 7 to support the Food Bank for Larimer County.

The Food Bank for Larimer County distributed more than 8.2 million meals and served approximately 40,000 individuals during its most recent fiscal year, according to the organization's data. Community food drives supplement the food bank's supply by providing shelf-stable items that balance inventory across periods of high demand.

The Movement Apothecary operates as a wellness studio offering movement classes and community programs in Fort Collins. The business has previously hosted free community events including open houses and collaborative markets.

Donations can be dropped off at 2721 S. College Avenue Unit 3 through November 30.
