Fast-Growing Pilates Chain Sets Sights on Fort Collins, Colorado Springs
BODYBAR Pilates, a rapidly expanding boutique fitness franchise, has identified Fort Collins and Colorado Springs among its priority markets for 2026, signaling potential growth in Northern Colorado's fitness landscape as the brand plans to open over 70 new studios nationwide this year.
BODYBAR's only confirmed Colorado footprint is Littleton, set to open in March at 12482 West Ken Caryl Avenue. The shopping-center location represents the franchise's entry into Colorado and likely previews its approach in Northern Colorado markets.
The franchise opened 27 new studios in 2025—a 60% jump—bringing its total to 73 locations nationwide. In 2025, BODYBAR reported $44 million in systemwide sales and grew membership 30% year-over-year to more than 18,000 members, according to a Feb. 12 company press release.
BODYBAR signed 190 development agreements in 2025 and targets 130 to 200 additional units this year, with over 40 slated for the third and fourth quarters.
That expansion pipeline brings Fort Collins and Colorado Springs into BODYBAR's crosshairs for 2026. The brand named both cities among dozens of priority expansion targets, alongside markets including Omaha, Tulsa and Austin.
"2025 marked a major step forward for BODYBAR," said Matt McCollum, CEO of BODYBAR Pilates. "We're not just talking about growth—we're opening studios, supporting franchisees and scaling with the infrastructure to do it right. That execution is what's fueling our momentum and setting us up for continued expansion."
A BODYBAR presence would intensify local boutique-fitness competition and drive demand for retail space. While Fort Collins and Colorado Springs appear on the company's priority list, no confirmed lease agreements, franchise registrations or specific studio locations have been announced for either city.
BODYBAR's No. 470 ranking on Entrepreneur's Franchise 500 list and 567% three-year growth on the Inc. 5000 underscore why commercial landlords in Fort Collins and Colorado Springs are likely tracking its next Colorado moves.
