County Road 53 closure approved

The Weld County Board of County Commissioners approved a temporary closure of County Road 53 between County Roads 60.5 and 62.5. A speaker said Burnt Mountain Services and DCP Operating Company LP requested the closure from Oct. 27 through Nov. 11 to repair a leak in an existing natural gas pipeline within County Road 53 and at the edge of County Road 60.5. The speaker said the work after the repair would include repaving County Road 53 and replacing mag chloride on its road surface. The detour was described as paved with 1 mile of gravel, and water would be used for dust if needed.
