Up to $28,282.80 approved for CR 21 dust control

From the Fort Lupton City Council meeting of

Fort Lupton approved Envirotech’s dust-control project on 14,428 feet of County Road 21 for up to $28,282.80 from the Street Sales Tax Fund. The staff report says both segments were very dusty amid dry weather and lack of moisture; average daily traffic was 230 south of Highway 52 and 190 north, while 5 CCR 1001-3 requires a dust mitigation plan for unpaved roads when traffic exceeds 200. Envirotech’s moisture-retaining RoadSaver application was scheduled for October 24, 2026. The report says $258,124.46 remained in the 2026 fund and that $1,200,000 in the fund for the CR 12 railroad crossing could be allocated to dust control because the crossing will not have Union Pacific approval for construction this year.

Adopted with the consent agenda (carried).
