Fort Lupton approves up to $291,985 for water tower work
The amendment adds 1,002 hours of cultural monitoring for ground-disturbing work and revises drawings for the pressure-reduction vault and waterline connection. An expected loan covers the engineering-services cost.
The Fort Lupton City Council approved up to $291,985 from the Utility Fund for additional construction management work on the Water Tower Project under its contract with Burns & McDonnell.
“This amendment is needed to cover additional items that have come up,” the public works director said. The amendment adds 1,002 hours of cultural monitoring for ground-disturbing activities. Revised construction drawings will reflect easement negotiations for the pressure reduction valve vault and its connection to the existing 16-inch waterline in the Highway 52 right of way.
The staff report says an expected loan covers the engineering-services cost. It lists $1,738,757 in project contingency. Of that, $585,942.68 is assigned, including this amendment.
The project status report lists $20,768,438 in current and revised costs, including $17,387,757 for contractor HPM, Inc. It also lists $1,441,924 for construction administration, $1,738,757 for contingencies and $200,000 for easement agreements. The project reimbursement report lists construction as 69% complete.
