Week Without Driving proclaimed in Greeley

From the Greeley City Council meeting of

Dale Hall proclaimed October 1 - 8, 2026, as Week Without Driving in Greeley in a proclamation dated October 6, 2026. The proclamation says nearly one-third of people in the United States do not have a driver’s license because of age, disability, income, health conditions or other barriers, and says the week gives residents and leaders a chance to understand nondrivers’ barriers and identify practical solutions. Jim Reeser, the coordinator for Greeley Walks, said this was the 3rd year the group sponsored the week and that it was meant to remind people of the 1/3 who do not drive and prompt them to consider how they would get around without a car readily available.
