City authorizes $653,747 intersection design task order

From the Greeley City Council meeting of

The City Council authorized the city to enter Task Order #2 with Muller Engineering Services for $653,747. The task order would increase the existing contract to $671,928. The design calls for dual eastbound and westbound left-turn lanes on the south side of 10th Street and widening 83rd Avenue from just south of 11th Street to just south of 9th Street for dual left-turn lanes, a dedicated through lane and a shared through/right-turn lane; the widening excludes the 12th Street roundabout. The work includes curb and gutter, sidewalk and a new traffic signal. The scope anticipates completion within eight months after Notice to Proceed and up to three new signal-timing plans with new clearance intervals, but no new cycle lengths. City staff and legal counsel may modify the task order before execution if its material substance remains unchanged.

Adopted with the consent agenda (carried, 7-0).
