Fort Collins City Council calls June 9 special meeting for midyear reviews of top staff

The Fort Collins City Council voted 7-0 Tuesday to call a special meeting for 6 p.m. June 9 to consider going into executive session for midyear performance reviews of the council’s direct-report employees. The action, taken under City Code Section 2-29 during Other Business item OB 3, sets up a separate meeting focused on employees the council directly oversees.

Mayor Emily Francis said those employees are the city manager, city attorney and municipal judge. Francis made the motion, and Mayor Pro Tem Julie Pignataro provided the second before the council approved it without discussion.

The special meeting notice does not itself place the council into executive session. Instead, the June 9 meeting is being called for the purpose of considering a motion to enter executive session to conduct the reviews.
