Fort Collins council unanimously approves 14-item consent calendar
The Fort Collins City Council voted 7-0 Tuesday to approve all 14 items on its consent calendar in a single vote. With no councilmember pulling an item for separate discussion, the action advanced a broad package that included Peakview annexation and zoning measures, Taft Hill Road corridor items, waste-program ordinances, municipal court code updates, multiple budget appropriations, meeting minutes and a Platte River Power Authority appointment.
The consent calendar bundled ordinances 048 through 061, resolutions 071 through 074 and other routine actions for one vote. Before the roll call, Mayor Emily Francis asked whether any councilmember wanted to remove an item for individual consideration; no one did.
During brief discussion, Mayor Pro Tem Julie Pignataro thanked staff for continued changes to the city’s single-hauler trash contract. Pignataro said the latest adjustment for small multi-unit housing complexes was "much needed" and called it an example of staff responding to resident concerns.
After a motion and second to approve Items 1 through 14, the council voted unanimously. The approval cleared the full consent agenda without separate debate on any individual item.
