Cold Friday Snow in Fort Collins, But Milder Days Ahead

Fort Collins will experience a chilly Friday with a high near 12 degrees and a 31 percent chance of light snow after 11 a.m. Temperatures will fall throughout the day as northeast winds gust to 16 mph, creating wind chills near minus 7 degrees. Less than half an inch of snow accumulation is possible, with minimal precipitation expected.

Snow becomes more likely Friday night, with a 60 percent chance of accumulation between 1 to 2 inches as temperatures drop to around 2 degrees. Saturday will see partial clearing with highs near 24 degrees and a 30 percent chance of light snow before 5 p.m. Sunday follows with similar conditions—highs near 24 degrees and a 30 percent chance of snow between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.

A significant warming trend arrives Monday through Wednesday. Monday will be sunny with highs near 46 degrees, followed by mostly sunny skies and highs around 45 degrees Tuesday and 47 degrees Wednesday. Overnight lows will remain cold, ranging from 1 to 17 degrees throughout the period. Thursday's forecast shows partly sunny skies with highs near 44 degrees as conditions remain dry.
