Sunny Today in Fort Collins, But Snow Possible Friday

Wednesday brings sunny skies and pleasant conditions to Fort Collins, with highs near 46 degrees and light south-southeast winds around 7 mph. There is no precipitation expected. Temperatures will fall through the afternoon to around 40 degrees. Tonight will remain mostly clear with lows near 17 degrees as north winds diminish to about 6 mph.

Thursday continues the nice weather pattern with mostly sunny skies and highs near 37 degrees. Light northeast winds of 3 to 8 mph will keep conditions calm. However, a winter system approaches Thursday night, bringing a 30% chance of light snow after 11 p.m., with lows dropping to around 6 degrees.

Friday will see increasing snow chances, with a 50% probability of light snow and highs only near 17 degrees. Less than half an inch of new snow accumulation is possible. Friday night lows plunge to around 1 degree with continued snow chances. Weekend conditions improve Saturday with highs near 19 degrees, then warming continues into early next week with highs reaching the low 50s by Tuesday.
