Mostly Sunny Sunday in Fort Collins, With Snow Possible Tonight

Fort Collins will enjoy mostly sunny skies today with a high near 51 degrees. North northwest winds will gust to 22 mph this afternoon. A 14 percent chance of precipitation exists, though any snow accumulation will remain under half an inch. Tonight will bring a 50 percent chance of light snow with around one inch possible accumulation as temperatures drop to 17 degrees.

Monday's Martin Luther King Jr. Day will start with a slight snow chance before 8 a.m., then transition to sunny skies with a high near 42 degrees. A warming trend will follow midweek, with Tuesday reaching 53 degrees under mostly sunny conditions. Wednesday will remain pleasant at 47 degrees and sunny.

By Thursday, temperatures will climb to 55 degrees with mostly sunny skies. Expect cooling heading into the weekend, with Friday reaching 45 degrees and a slight 17 percent snow chance Friday night. Saturday will be partly sunny with a high near 35 degrees. Overall, the extended forecast features typical January variability with alternating mild and cold periods.
