Tatman's Fusion Cuisine is converting a former tattoo parlor into a restaurant at 103 E Laurel St in Fort Collins, according to a commercial building permit filed with the city.

The fusion restaurant will occupy 1,900 square feet previously used by Story of My Life Tattoo. HWG Services, operating as National Inspection Services, will handle the tenant remodel with William J. Warren serving as the licensed general contractor.

The renovation includes updating electrical fixtures, installing new drain lines for additional sinks and adding an ADA-approved water fountain. Brianna Brown serves as job contact and can be reached at 970-689-4356.

The space occupies two levels within the Laurel Street Shops, a small commercial row of storefronts at the signalized intersection of College Avenue and Laurel Street. The main floor totals 1,075 square feet with an additional 825 square feet on the lower level, according to commercial leasing records. The building was constructed in 1959 and received renovations in 2015.

The address sits directly across from Colorado State University's main campus and within walking distance of Old Town Fort Collins. The intersection serves as a high-traffic retail hub with coffee shops, restaurants, convenience stores and service businesses catering to university students and local residents.

The commercial corridor connects CSU's campus with downtown Fort Collins, providing pedestrian and vehicle access to one of the city's primary business and entertainment districts.

Fort Collins has seen multiple restaurant businesses file permits in recent months, including J.R. Crickets wing restaurant on Taft Hill Road and Shake Shack along South College Avenue.

No opening date has been announced for Tatman's Fusion Cuisine. The construction permit remains active with Fort Collins' building department.
