Goth Santa Returns to The Lyric for Holiday Photo Opportunity December 7
Fort Collins residents can celebrate the holidays with a darker twist when Goth Santa makes his annual appearance at The Lyric on December 7.
The alternative holiday photo opportunity will take place during the Family Band Holiday Market, a local artisan event featuring more than 35 vendors at the North College Avenue venue. The Lyric, an independent cinema and arts venue, announced the event on its social media channels.
Visitors are encouraged to bring cash tips for the seasonal character. "Goth Santa has gotta buy a new slay," The Lyric noted in its announcement, playing on the traditional sleigh spelling.
The Family Band Holiday Market occurs three times annually in Fort Collins, according to Downtown Fort Collins Creative District resources. The winter edition typically showcases local makers selling handmade crafts, jewelry, ceramics, woodwork, and holiday-themed gifts alongside live music performances.
The Lyric has operated as a community gathering space since 2007, when founder Ben Mozer opened Fort Collins' only independent movie theater. The venue relocated to its current 1209 North College Avenue location in 2017, expanding to include three indoor theaters, an outdoor screen, a full bar, restaurant, and flexible event spaces.
The cinema and arts venue hosts a diverse mix of film screenings, concerts, art installations, and themed community events throughout the year. Its eclectic programming and accessible approach have established The Lyric as a cultural hub for Northern Colorado residents seeking creative and unconventional entertainment options.
The Family Band Holiday Market aims to support local creators while providing families and holiday shoppers an opportunity to purchase Fort Collins-made gifts. Admission to maker markets is typically free or low-cost to ensure community access.
