County details road and bridge work

From the Larimer County Board of County Commissioners meeting of

The 1-mile Owl Canyon sections between County Roads 11 and 13 and between 13 and 15 have $5 million and $9 million budgets, respectively; the latter would replace four structures. The first project’s bid is awarded, and it would add 8-foot paved shoulders and replace four culvert crossings. Construction is expected to take 6 to 7 months and finish in June next year. Its 4-mile detour would include 1 mile north on County Road 72 and 3 miles of gravel roads the contractor must maintain. Country Club Road’s first phase is a $4 million roundabout at Lemay, expected in 2028, with a nearly $1.2 million federal grant for corridor design. The load-restricted 1934 County Road 63E bridge is the sole year-round access to the national forest and CSU Mountain Campus; its project is unfunded and estimated at about $9 million.
