Crews are to begin tunnel work the week of Monday, Nov. 9, at the intersection of WCR 72 and CO 257 for the North Extension Sewer Interceptor Project, the Town of Windsor said.
The town urges drivers at the intersection to proceed with caution. Construction workers will be present, and large boring holes will be near the side of the roadway. Road work is weather permitting and subject to change.
The project includes installing approximately 8,600 linear feet of new 18-inch sanitary sewer pipeline. Construction is to involve both traditional open-cut installation methods and trenchless boring techniques.
The project is intended to improve wastewater infrastructure and support long-term system reliability in the area, the town said.
