Tasman gives $100,000 to District 6 welding, athletics and music programs
Support includes an augmented-reality welding system for the career and technical education center; the athletics gift helped the Success Foundation maximize matching funds. The foundation is exploring ways to extend participation through high school.
Tasman, Inc. has invested $100,000 in programs and resources for Greeley-Evans School District 6 students, supporting an augmented reality welding system at the District 6 Career and Technical Education Center, athletics, music instruments and sponsorship of Success Foundation events, according to a news release dated Nov. 6.
Tasman's contribution to athletics was made through Youth Sports Giving Day, a statewide Colorado initiative to expand access to youth sports. The donation helped the Success Foundation maximize available matching funds and increase the investment's impact, the foundation said.
The foundation's current fundraising efforts focus on 4th and 5th grade athletics, it said. It is also exploring ways to strengthen K-12 athletics so students can keep participating and developing their skills through middle and high school.
"We're proud to partner with the Success Foundation and District 6 to help students explore career pathways, develop new skills, and access opportunities that support their interests and goals," said Brandon Bruns of Tasman, Inc.
