Greeley police arrest man wanted in Halloween homicide investigation
He is being held at Weld County Jail on an aggravated-assault warrant, while homicide-related charges remain pending and the investigation stays open. Police said he surrendered without further incident.
Greeley police and partner agencies arrested 20-year-old Mamre Bojorquez on Thursday, Nov. 5; he was wanted in connection with a Halloween homicide investigation out of Weld County.
Bojorquez was arrested on a previously outstanding warrant for aggravated assault and is being held at the Weld County Jail. Additional charges related to the Weld County homicide investigation are pending, and the case remains open and under investigation.
Investigative leads and technology enabled law enforcement to establish surveillance at the location, Greeley police said. Officers made initial contact with an occupant and then surrounded the home. As tactical resources were being prepared, Bojorquez surrendered without further incident.
Members of the Greeley Police Department's Special Enforcement Team worked with the Weld County Sheriff's Office STRIKE Team, the U.S. Marshals Service and the Colorado Violent Offender Task Force to apprehend Bojorquez.
