Greeley seeks applicants for 16 board and commission seats by Nov. 17

Applications are available online, and some openings require specific professional or community experience. Staff will schedule interviews for the week of Dec. 1, with appointments planned for the Dec. 15 council meeting.

Greeley will accept applications until 8 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17, for 16 open seats on city boards and commissions, including the Housing for All Advisory Board, the Judicial Review Board and the Museum Board.

Applications can be submitted online at https://greeleyco.gov/government/get-involved/boards-and-commissions. Staff will schedule interviews for the week of Dec. 1. Appointments will be made at the Dec. 15 City Council meeting.

Some seats call for a specific background. One Judicial Review Board seat requires a licensed attorney, and one Housing for All Advisory Board seat requires experience with homelessness. The Construction Trades Advisory and Appeals Board has one seat that requires a building background, and the Greeley Art Commission has one seat that requires an artist background.

Four boards have more than one opening. These boards have multiple seats available:

  • Housing for All Advisory Board: three seats
  • Judicial Review Board: two seats
  • Museum Board: two seats
  • Greeley Urban Renewal Authority: two seats

Several other boards have one seat each. They are the Citizen Budget Advisory Committee, the Citizen Transportation Advisory Board, the Union Colony Civic Center Advisory Board and the Youth Commission. The Greeley-Weld Airport Authority also has one seat, which will be a joint City of Greeley and County Appointee seat.

The council also announced three new appointments. Thomas Devore and Heather Utrata were appointed to the Greeley Art Commission, and Joshua Fulenwider was appointed to the Housing for All Advisory Board.
