Poudre School Choice applications now open Nov. 30, not Nov. 4
Monday, Nov. 30, instead of Nov. 4 as originally communicated, the Poudre School District said.
The first-consideration School Choice application period for the 2027-28 school year is expected to open at 8 a.m. Monday, Nov. 30, instead of Nov. 4 as originally communicated, the Poudre School District said.
The deadline for first-consideration application submissions remains Dec. 16. New student and kindergarten registration will begin Nov. 30, and families can register at olr.psdschools.org.
At its Nov. 3 meeting, the Board of Education decided to revisit the resolution it approved Oct. 27 on school closure and consolidation by considering an amendment. The board will schedule a special meeting no later than Nov. 13 to complete its work.
The later opening is intended to give the board time to finish its process and give families accurate information about school options before they apply for the 2027-28 school year, the district said.
The district plans to share updated information about school options before the application window opens. It will tell families if it can open the School Choice application and new student and kindergarten registration periods sooner.
