The Poudre School District Board of Education proclaimed November 2026 as Children and Youth Experiencing Housing Instability Awareness Month on Nov. 3, 2026. The proclamation reframes the observance with person-first language intended to reduce stigma and recognize the range of housing challenges students and families face. It encourages community members to recognize that many children and families lack stable housing or adequate food and to find ways to support children and youth experiencing housing instability during November.
