The town advises Standard STR Permits unless a proposed short-term rental is within 250 feet of an existing one in residential Old Town Erie. The advice also does not apply to a person who is a renter and wants to use the home as a short-term rental.
Town Council may designate Special Event STR Permit Periods by resolution, the town said. A Special Event STR Permit Period has not been designated for the Sundance Film Festival.
A resolution will be taken to the Nov. 10 Town Council meeting.
