Pulse launches $349-a-month 20 Gig home internet tier
The residential plan includes symmetrical upload and download speeds, a professional SFP handoff and a static IP address. The provider says it is aimed at power users and home-based businesses.
Pulse Fiber Internet, a provider serving Loveland and Timnath, has launched a 20-gigabit residential internet tier called Vector Fiber at $349 per month.
Vector Fiber includes symmetrical 20 Gig speeds, a professional SFP handoff and a static IP address. It is priced at $349 per month at launch.
Pulse's current service areas include Loveland and Timnath, Colorado. Details about Vector Fiber and Pulse's other internet, voice and TV plans are available on the Pulse website, pulsefiber.com.
Pulse said it designed Vector Fiber for a niche but growing segment that includes power users, home-based businesses, homelab operators, digital creators and early adopters. Pulse described them as managing data-intensive workloads such as large-scale content production, scientific computing, software development and enterprise-level remote operations.
Pulse says it is the first provider in Colorado to offer a symmetrical 20 Gig connection to homes. It also says the majority of internet providers nationwide do not offer plans in excess of 10 Gigs.
Brieana Reed-Harmel, Pulse's broadband division manager, said widespread adoption of 20 Gig residential service may grow gradually. She described the launch as an important strategic investment as broadband competition intensifies statewide.
