Prescribed fire operation under way today; sheriff asks public not to call 9-1-1 to report smoke or flames
The Forest Service is conducting the burn, and the sheriff’s office directs people to the agency’s page for information and updates. The request also covers sightings of fire apparatus.
The Larimer County Sheriff's Office said the U.S. Forest Service is conducting a prescribed fire operation in the area today, Oct. 29. People who see smoke, flames or fire apparatus are asked not to call 9-1-1 to report it.
The operation is being run by the U.S. Forest Service-Arapaho & Roosevelt Natl Forests Pawnee Natl Grassland, the sheriff's office said. People are asked to follow the page of the U.S. Forest Service-Arapaho & Roosevelt Natl Forests Pawnee Natl Grassland for information and updates.
