Estes Park to close part of Elkhorn Avenue for Halloween trick-or-treating
The event runs from 5 to 7 p.m., while street closures and setup begin at 4:15 p.m. Side streets will be detoured, and fencing and cones will direct pedestrians to designated crosswalks.
The Town of Estes Park will close Elkhorn Avenue from Spruce Drive to E Riverside Drive for trick-or-treating on Oct. 31.
The event will run from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Street closures and setup will begin at 4:15 p.m. Side street traffic will be detoured.
The closure is intended to provide safe passage for trick-or-treaters, increase safe areas for pedestrians and improve adjacent businesses’ ability to participate in the festivities, the Town said. Fencing and cones will direct pedestrians to designated crosswalks. Estes Park Police Department officers will be stationed throughout downtown for added safety, the Town said.
