$245,000 added to organics contract

From the Loveland City Council meeting of

The amendment adds $245,000 to the city’s contract with Lambland Inc., doing business as A-1 Organics, raising its not-to-exceed amount from $900,000 to $1,145,000. Effective Oct. 20, 2026, the increase supports hauling and processing of organics diverted at the Loveland Recycling Center through the contract’s Dec. 31, 2026, end date. The amendment is funded from the Solid Waste Enterprise Fund’s unrestricted fund balance; the resolution says all necessary funds have been appropriated. The resolution cites higher-than-anticipated organics volume from community use. The staff report put volume $2,000 a month above baseline and Solid Waste operations $2,000 a month over budget, and projected the added funding would keep hauling uninterrupted through year-end and the 2027 hauling budget intact.

Adopted with the consent agenda (carried, 8-0).
