Estes Park gets $42,333 for accessible recreation campaign

The funded projects are scheduled to run from January through December 2027. The tourism office says 36 sites have earned Accessibility Verified status, including 25 outside its program.

The Estes Park Local Marketing District received a $42,333 Colorado Tourism Office grant to promote the region as a destination for accessible recreation and outdoor exploration, the office said.

The funded projects are scheduled to begin execution in January 2027 and continue through December 2027.

Last year, Visit Estes Park completed the Colorado Tourism Office’s Accessible Travel Program, the office said. Thirty-six sites achieved Accessibility Verified status, including 25 sites completed independently outside the program.

The grants total more than $600,000 and will support 23 counties in Colorado. “Tourism Marketing Grants help Colorado communities attract visitors, support local businesses and strengthen their economies,” said Colorado Tourism Office Director Timothy Wolfe.
