Strauss Lakes annexation would add 147.499 acres

The ordinance would annex 147.499 acres, more or less, at the northeast corner of Ziegler Road and East Horsetooth Road. The property has 40.5% contiguity with existing city limits. The annexation is set to take effect October 30, 2026, after the conditions in Colorado Revised Statutes Section 31-12-113 are completed, including required filings with the Larimer County Clerk and Recorder. The ordinance finds the annexation is in the city's best interests and consents to the property's inclusion in the Municipal Subdistrict of the Northern Colorado Water Conservancy District. The annexation would not obligate the city to build water, sewer, gas or electric lines, streets or other services or utilities, except as provided by city ordinances.
