Intersection would get $1.55 million, art $15,347

From the Fort Collins City Council meeting of

The ordinance would appropriate $1,549,760 from prior-year reserves in the Transportation Capital Expansion Fee fund and $307 from the Transportation Services fund for transfer to the Capital Projects fund for the Lemay and Drake Intersection Improvements project. It would also transfer $15,347 from Capital Projects to Arts and Culture: $11,971 for art projects, $3,069 for program operations and $307 for maintenance. The ordinance would take effect October 30, 2026, and keep the project appropriations available until the project is complete rather than letting them lapse at fiscal year-end. The funding would help acquire private property next to the intersection right-of-way and replace the traffic signal at Lemay Avenue and Drake Road. The project would add a southbound right-turn lane; install new signals with flashing yellow arrows on all four approaches; expand refuge islands on the northwest and southeast corners; replace accessible ramps at all four corners; and add a raised pedestrian crossing in the southbound turn lane.
