$79,999.82 grant would fund speed enforcement

The ordinance would appropriate $79,999.82 in unanticipated grant revenue to the General Fund for Fort Collins Police Services’ Safer Speeds Fort Collins Program. The Traffic Enforcement Unit would use the reimbursement-based grant, which requires no local match, for high-visibility enforcement, education, social media outreach and targeted enforcement days focused on crashes related to speeding and reckless driving, including serious-injury and fatal crashes. The project period is 10/01/2026 through 09/30/2027, and the appropriation would remain available until the project is completed.
