Larimer County honors planners in October

The proclamation designates October 2026 as Community Planning Month in Larimer County, in conjunction with National Community Planning Month; county commissioners adopted the proclamation Oct. 13, 2026. The proclamation says community planning gives residents an opportunity to participate meaningfully in choices that determine their community’s future, recognizes professional community and regional planners and thanks them for their public service. It also identifies National Community Planning Month as an opportunity to highlight planning’s importance to every community and planners’ ability to identify solutions to difficult housing, transportation and land-use questions. Jody Shadduck-McNally praised the Community Planning Department, planners and staff for making the county’s communities exceptional.
