$500,000 water-rights deal adopted

From the Johnstown Town Council meeting of

The agreement provides for Johnstown to buy one share in The Consolidated Home Supply Ditch and Reservoir Company from Gillam Development Corporation for $500,000, with Gillam conveying the associated water and water rights at closing. Johnstown would have 10 business days after receiving a Stock Trace to investigate it and obtain required approvals, and could terminate the agreement during that period. If the sale proceeds, the town would pay in certified funds at closing, and the $375,000 owed to SouthState Bank, N.A., must be satisfied on or before closing.

Adopted with the consent agenda (carried).
