A 25-year-old Weld County Jail inmate died after Weld County Sheriff’s Office detentions deputies found him suffering what appeared to be a medical episode at about 1:55 a.m.

A 25-year-old Weld County Jail inmate died after Weld County Sheriff’s Office detentions deputies found him suffering what appeared to be a medical episode at about 1:55 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 18, according to a release distributed on behalf of the 19th Judicial Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT).

Deputies administered CPR and requested a response from medical staff and paramedics.

The CIRT responded to investigate. It said the investigation is active and no further information will be released until it concludes. The Weld County Coroner will release the man’s identity pending next-of-kin notification.
