Woodward to make Paxton McVoy executive vice president, CIO

Woodward says the newly created role will put him on the Executive Leadership Team and have him report to CEO Chip Blankenship starting Oct. 19. He will lead global IT and set digital strategy, including work on cybersecurity and artificial intelligence.

Fort Collins-based Woodward said Paxton McVoy will become its executive vice president and chief information officer Oct. 19.

The executive vice president and chief information officer role is newly created. McVoy will join Woodward’s Executive Leadership Team and report directly to Chief Executive Officer Chip Blankenship. He will lead the company’s global information technology organization and set the direction for its digital strategy, including enterprise resource planning, data and analytics, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and technology-enabled business transformation. “In this role he will help us to set the direction for how information technology will support our long-term growth strategy,” Blankenship said.

McVoy joins Woodward from Veralto, where he was senior vice president and chief information officer, Woodward said. After Veralto separated from Danaher, McVoy led Veralto’s global technology strategy and operations. He helped build the company’s technology organization after it became independent. Earlier, McVoy held senior IT leadership roles at Medtronic, including vice president and CIO for its Surgical Innovations business, and led Medtronic’s transition from Oracle to SAP.
