28-year-old man dies after crash on Highway 34 overpass
The woman driving the Honda and her young child were not injured. Police say the crash remains under investigation, with potential charges pending the final investigation; the coroner’s office will release the man’s identity.
A 28-year-old man died at a hospital from injuries suffered in a crash at the eastbound 23rd Avenue overpass of Highway 34 around 3:25 p.m. Sept. 28, Greeley police said.
The preliminary investigation determined the 28-year-old man was driving eastbound on Highway 34 on a Harley sportbike, Greeley police said. He was weaving through traffic at a high rate of speed when he collided with the rear corner of a Honda Civic driven by a 28-year-old woman. The motorcyclist sustained severe injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
The woman driving the Civic and her young child passenger were not injured. The Weld County Coroner's Office will release the motorcyclist's identification, Greeley police said.
The crash remains under active investigation by the Greeley Police Department Traffic Unit. Potential charges are pending the outcome of the final investigation, Greeley police said.
