More than 70 local studios open for Fort Collins art tour
Visitors can meet artists, watch demonstrations and buy original work; studios are open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. A free preview exhibit runs Oct. 14-25.
More than 70 local artist spaces will open to visitors Oct. 24-25 for the self-guided Fort Collins Artist Studio Tour and Sale.
The City of Fort Collins Arts and Culture Department organizes the tour, which is part of the city’s Visual Arts program. Local artists will open their studios Saturday, Oct. 24, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 25, from noon to 5 p.m. Visitors can meet artists, watch educational demonstrations and buy original artworks.
The Center for Creativity will host a preview exhibit featuring participating artists from Oct. 14-25. A free opening reception celebrating local art will be held Oct. 16 at 6 p.m. The exhibit is free and open to the public Wednesday through Sunday from noon to 6 p.m.
Artwork from a selection of participating artists is on view at Fort Collins City Hall through Nov. 13. Free self-guided tour maps will be available in print at the exhibit and at select locations around Fort Collins.
