Strauss Lakes would receive two zoning districts

From the Fort Collins City Council meeting of

The ordinance would zone 147.499 acres at the northeast corner of Ziegler and Horsetooth roads: 139.835 acres as Low Density Mixed-Use Neighborhood and 7.664 acres as Medium Density Mixed-Use Neighborhood. It would also place the property in the Residential Neighborhood Sign District and LC1 low-ambient-lighting context. The site is intended for a mixed-density neighborhood with a small neighborhood center and affordable housing; an Overall Development Plan is under review, but no project development plan has been submitted. Anne Hutchison, president and CEO of the Fort Collins Area Chamber, supported the application and said 140 affordable units were planned.

Passed on first reading with the consent agenda (carried, 6-0).
