City approves rebates for Avago’s $1.5 billion project
Approved Oct. 6, 2026, and effective that day, the agreement provides rebates for Avago’s $1.5 billion project at 4380 Ziegler Road: a 26,000-square-foot remodel in Building 2 and a 38,000-square-foot Building 4B expansion. Equipment-and-expense rebates are capped at $6,957,000 for eligible purchases from execution through Dec. 31, 2036: up to 25% of eligible unrestricted and undedicated City sales and use taxes on manufacturing, research-and-development, climate-control and automation equipment, and up to 100% for eligible abatement equipment. Construction-material rebates are capped at $1,974,000, with up to 25% of eligible taxes rebated; each phase needs a certificate of occupancy or completion letter by Dec. 31, 2036. Avago anticipates about 100 jobs paying $66,000 to $135,000 annually and pledges at least 1,115 Wireless Services Division employees in Fort Collins, including external temporary workers, by Dec. 31, 2033. The City retains up to $500,000 from equipment-and-expense rebates, releasing $100,000 for each 20% increment of required net employment growth and the remaining balance when Avago reaches the target.
