Larimer County received $55,357 through the 2026 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant program for the Northern Colorado Drug Task Force, with an intergovernmental agreement allocating the award among Fort Collins, Loveland and Larimer County. The ordinance appropriates $17,638.83 to the General Fund (100) in Police Services, reimbursing personnel costs directly attributed to the task force in 2025 and supporting supplemental overtime and investigative resources for complex, multi-agency investigations targeting drug trafficking organizations. The grant has no match requirement, and eligible expenses will be reimbursed up to $17,638.83. The appropriation remains available beyond the end of the fiscal year until the grant expires or the city spends all funds received; it takes effect October 16, 2026.
