Evans council to hear budget, consider clerk removal and right-of-way vacation

The council meeting is set for 7 p.m., after the redevelopment agency meets at 6:30 p.m. Both sessions are open to the public and will be livestreamed on the city’s YouTube channel.

The Evans City Council is scheduled Tuesday, Oct. 6, to hold public hearings on the 2027 budget and a proposed vacation of public road right-of-way for the Asmus Replat. The agenda also lists approval of the City Manager’s removal of the City Clerk.

The Evans City Council and Evans Redevelopment Agency (ERA) are scheduled to hold their bimonthly meetings at the Evans Community Complex City Council Chambers. The ERA meeting is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m., followed by the regular council meeting at 7 p.m. The ERA is scheduled to consider Resolution No. ERA-002-2026, which would adopt its 2027 budget.

For 37th Street Widening Phase 3, the council is scheduled to consider a design contract with Ayres Associates. The 2026 Mill and Overlay Project contract with Asphalt Specialties is also on the agenda.

The council is scheduled to consider Resolution No. 30-2026, accepting a Colorado Water Conservation Board Water Plan Grant. Another agenda item is the 2026-2027 Water Master Plan Professional Services Contract.

Before the meetings, the city plans to celebrate the official grand opening of the new Evans Police Station with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 5:30 p.m. at 3737 St. Vrain Street. Both meetings are open to the public and will be livestreamed on the City of Evans YouTube channel.
