Colorado corn 5% harvested; 41% rated good or excellent for week ending Oct. 4, 2026
Winter wheat planting reached 61%, up from 50% a week earlier. Topsoil moisture was short or very short on 70% of Colorado's fields, while corn bid averages were $5.65 a bushel in north central Colorado and $5.04 in northeast Colorado.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture's National Agricultural Statistics Service reported that Colorado corn was 5% harvested for the week ending Oct. 4, up from 0% the week before. It rated 41% of the crop good or excellent.
