North end of Town Hall alley at Cheesman Street to close Oct. 8-15
The south end of the alley and the east parking lot entrance off Wells Street stay open during work hours; vehicles using the alley must enter and exit there. The west lot entrance remains accessible off Holbrook Street.
The north end of the alley behind Town Hall at Cheesman Street will be closed from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 8-15 for utility work.
Allo Fiber will bore a new utility line under the alley beginning Thursday, Oct. 8, with work expected to be complete by Thursday, Oct. 15, the Town of Erie said. The alert lists Town Hall as 645 Holbrook St. in its closure notice and 545 Holbrook St. in its description of Allo Fiber’s work.
South alley access will be available during the closure, and the east entrance to the Town Hall parking lot will remain open from the alley’s south end off Wells Street during closure hours, the alert said. All vehicles will need to enter and exit there. The west Town Hall parking lot entrance will be fully accessible off Holbrook St. Traffic control will be removed by 4 p.m. each day.
