Montana went ahead for good on Ian Finch's 24-yard touchdown catch from Keali'i Ah Yat with 11:57 left in the first quarter. Brooks Davis caught a 61-yard touchdown pass from Ah Yat and ran for the two-point conversion with 10:00 left in the second quarter, giving Montana a 15-0 lead. Kenny Lueth scored Northern Colorado's first touchdown on a 2-yard run with 13 seconds left in the third quarter, leaving Montana ahead 29-6.
