Harris honored for 15 years of service

At its Sept. 29, 2026, meeting, the Larimer County Board of County Commissioners presented Robert Harris with a plaque recognizing 15 years of service to the Parks Advisory Board and Natural Resources Advisory Board. Shadduck-McNally said Harris was an original member of the Parks Advisory Board, resigned in 2009 for an 18-month church mission, then returned to board service July 1st, 2011, and volunteered through the end of his term for over 15 years. Shadduck-McNally said a commendation prepared by Visitor Services Manager Captain Chris Fleming credited Harris with serving in every board role, including several terms as chair, and helping create a partnership with the Carter Lakes Sail Club.
